Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information QuillZap ("we") collects when you use quillzap.com, how we use it and the choices you have. If you have questions, email [email protected].

Information we collect

  • Account details: your name and email address. If you sign up with email, we store a securely hashed version of your password, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and a Google account identifier.
  • Content you submit to the AI tools: the text you enter so we can generate a result. We send it to our AI provider to produce the output and do not use it to train AI models.
  • Usage counts: how many runs you have used, and for free runs a keyed one-way hash of your network address (not the address itself), so we can apply fair-use limits.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: the email address you give us.
  • Technical data: IP address and basic request logs kept by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention.

The AI checker on our homepage runs entirely in your browser; text you paste there is not sent to us.

How we use information

  • To create and secure your account and keep you signed in (we use one essential session cookie).
  • To run the AI tools you request and enforce fair-use limits.
  • To send account emails such as password resets, and the newsletter if you subscribed.
  • To prevent abuse, including blocking disposable email addresses and rate-limiting requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run QuillZap: our web host, Cloudflare for network delivery and security, Google for optional sign-in, and an AI model provider to generate content, and Stripe to process payments. Card details are entered on Stripe's own page and never reach our servers; we keep only a Stripe customer reference and what you bought. They process data only to provide their service to us.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is open. To delete your account and associated data, email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will do so within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.

Children

QuillZap is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and notify account holders by email of significant changes.
